A Sense of Community

This exhibition touched on how we connect.

Some of the paintings reflected on how life was like in small towns and villages when Therese was growing up, others were more spiritual paintings which Therese described as moments when we are 'at one' with the world.

Therese spoke with Sian James, Anne Scargill and Betty Cook for her inspiration for The Miners' Strike Collection, which celebrated the community during the 1984 miners' strike and how they generally stood side by side through those hard times together.
