"It is an honour to present David (Bentley) with this original painting as he is just as much an `artist` himslf for his skill on the football field" Ross Eccles
The gallery's most steadfact clients, associated dealers, and dedicated collectors of Ross's works were treated to our very first hugely successful solo exhibition at the gallery. The exhibition featured over fifty of Ross's abstract, acrylic paintings alongside his signature pen & watercolours and was the largest collection of Ross's works ever in the UK.
Mr David Bentley, the young star-player of Blackburn Rovers football Club was presented by Ross with one of his signature abstract paintings. On the evening, ross described David as an artist himself for his skill on the football field.
Ross's approach throughout his long career has always been to defy traditional compositions in favour of something truly unique and inimitable which appeals to people of all ages and cultures.
Carl and Julia Allen, fans of both Ross and David, left not only with a signed painting but also a signed David Bentley shirt for their baby son Joshua!
"This has been an extremely generous donation from both the artist and Art Decor Gallery. Our school's partnership with the gallery has again enabled the children to learn new skills and to create excellent pieces of work" Brian Beresford - Headmaster, Whalley CE Primary School
Children of Year Five at Whalley CE Primary School, along with their parents and teachers, gathered for a special exhibition evening to showcase their contemporary paintings using acrylic paints on canvas inspired by the works of Ross Eccles. The evening was the culmination of a three month project to help support and promote art in the local community. Danielle Jacks and Alex Armsrong were the two artists that Ross chose to receive a cash prize, donated by the gallery. Half of which went to charities of their choice, which were Cancer Research and the NSPCC.
On the night it was announced that £650 had been raised by the gallery organising an on-line auction for the painting that Ross had painted and generously donated whilst visiting the school and demonstrating to the children his acrylic painting technique.
"To Julie and Chris - All the Best and Great Gallery!" Todd White
Hollywood artist Todd White is one of the top three best-selling artists in the UK today and has Sharon Stone, Michael Douglas, Macauley Culkin and Hugh Heffner as some of his celebrity Hollywood Collectors alongside many from the Ribble Valley now.
As one of only four galleries in the UK to receive a visit from Todd this year we were given the chance of exhibiting an exclusive set of limited editions unavailable to other galleries. The evening was very special indeed!
Our clients loved meeting Todd and relished the opportunity to have sketches drawn of them on the back of their paintings.
In addition to originals, unseen limited editions and study sketches, Todd unveiled his first ever bronze sculpture entitled 'Delicate'.
